Anglepoise Type 1228

The Anglepoise Type 1228 light family comprises a table, a wall, a floor, a clamp and a recessed lamp. All lamps in this series have flexible arms, which can be readjusted again and again using tension spring technology. The tension spring technology used in Anglepoise lights was developed as early as 1935 by British industrial designer George Carwadine. It also ensures that the lamp arms retain every set position. In addition, the lamp shade of all lamps in this series can be swivelled and rotated. From the inside the shade is always white, from the outside it is available in the surfaces granite grey, ice white and ocean blue. When the lamp shade is switched on, it appears brighter than when it is switched off. The lamp arms and the upper part of the lamp shade are made of brushed aluminum for all versions. The coloured part of the lamp shade is made of two-layer polypropylene. An on/off switch is integrated on each lamp shade. LED retrofit or compact fluorescent lamps can be used as light sources.
