Lightyears Orient

The Lightyears Orient is a classic, first designed by Jo Hammerborg in the year 1963. In 2013, the pendant light was reissued by the manufacturer Lightyears in cooperation with the heirs of Jo Hammerborg Design, i. his family. The first version is made of shining copper, in 2015 a new variant of black aluminum was created, the Orient Black. The original copper pendant lamp is available in two sizes with a diameter of 22.5 cm or 34 cm. In addition, this lamp is available in different cable lengths of 300 cm or 600 cm. The new Orient Black is available in three sizes, with a diameter of 22.5 cm, 34 cm or 50 cm. The two smaller versions of the pendant lamp made of black aluminum are equipped with a standard 300 cm long cable, the largest version is supplied with a 600 cm long cable. On request, also the two smaller versions are offered with a 600 cm long cable. The majority of the light is emitted directly downwards for all the pendant lights of this series, only a very small part is emitted by vertical slots in the upper part of the shade. The shade has an upper part of grained rosewood. The cables of the lights can be shortened if necessary.
